  • There is a request for the development of a modular kitchen system (lower cabinets, hanging cabinets, a pencil case, an island if necessary) for a small series for rental apartments. Initial situation: we have 3 typical layouts of kitchens in houses of 2010-2020, but we need one modular line that adapts to different wall widths and connection points. 18 mm chipboard, painted MDF for facades, standard Blum/Hettich fittings are used in production. It is necessary to make a design that looks "expensive", but is assembled quickly, with a minimum of unique details. Technical environment: work pipeline in 3ds Max or SketchUp + V-Ray/Corona for visualizations, drawing in AutoCAD/ArchiCAD or Fusion 360/SolidWorks. Other software is allowed if the output includes production drawings and specifications in universal formats (PDF + DWG/DXF). Input data from me: dimensions of 3 rooms in DWG, photos of objects, list of equipment (dimensions), desired palette of materials, examples of references. Stages and result: 1) Analysis of limitations and standardization of modules - to propose a grid of modules by width (for example, 300-900 mm in increments), rules for selecting modules for 3 layouts, and a list of typical nodes (case, plinth, canopies, tabletop joints, false panels). 2) Concept and style - 2 options for facades (eg: smooth + milled/rail element) with description of materials, colors, handles/profiles, and a brief explanation why it is suitable for a small series. 3) 3D model and renderings - assemble a parametric/scale model of the modules and show them in 3 real layouts. Provide 2 angles for each layout (6 renders in total) with a size of at least 2500 px along the long side. 4) Package for production - a set of drawings and specifications for one basic assembly (a typical set of modules), including: dimensional drawings, placement of equipment, facades, fastening and connecting nodes, a map of details (detailing) with edging, additive for accessories, specification of accessories with an article number/analog, list of materials. Files: printable PDF + DWG/DXF sources, as well as the model (MAX/SKP/STEP depending on the selected software). Limitation: - A maximum of 2 types of body material and 2 types of facade coating in the line. - No more than 6 unique facade sizes per kitchen (so as not to inflate production). - Take into account ventilation gaps and access to communications, standard tabletop heights of 900-920 mm, plinth 100-150 mm. - The solution must work for the built-in 600 mm equipment and the 450 mm option (PMM) without redesigning the entire line. Acceptance criteria (measured): - Model and drawings without collisions: checking the clearance of facades/handles, opening of doors/drawers, aisles of at least 900 mm in the layouts shown. - The specification contains 100% of the items of materials and fittings present in the drawings, with quantities and units. - Detailing: Each part has dimensions, thickness, edge (where required) and notation for assembly. - Visualizations correspond to the selected materials and construction (without "pictures not from this model"). I expect 2 cycles of editing on the chosen concept (without a complete change of style).
