Check your questionnaire before paying for a large survey
An unclear question can produce a confident but unusable answer. Before inviting the main audience, let a small group try the questionnaire as a test. Can they explain what each question means? Is there an answer option that actually fits? Does the next section appear as expected? A microtask can surface these difficulties while the wording is still easy to change. Ask for a private report on the questions, not answers that confirm your idea. Test responses should be marked and kept out of the final research data.

- 任务标题
- Test survey questions and the route through a questionnaire
- 工人应该做什么?
- Open the marked test questionnaire supplied by the customer. Use only the agreed test scenario. Do not enter personal documents, passwords or sensitive real information.
- Read the selected questions and explain their meaning in your own words. Point out unfamiliar terms, unclear time periods or questions that ask about several things at once.
- Check the answer options and follow the test route described in the task. Record questions with no suitable choice and sections that appear or disappear unexpectedly.
- Send a private report with question numbers, explanations and screenshots. Mark any submitted form entry as a test. Do not invent answers for the customer's actual research or try to confirm their preferred conclusion.
- 如何证明结果
- Include the test form version, question numbers, unclear wording, missing options and the route taken. Attach screenshots without personal data. Identify any test entry so the customer can exclude it from research. A useful report can also confirm that the tested questions were clear.
Fix the questionnaire before using its answers
Group reports by question and distinguish a wording problem from a technical routing error. Rewrite an unclear term, add a suitable option or correct the branch, then test that part again. Keep the form version with each report so you do not compare different questionnaires accidentally. Exclude pilot entries from the final dataset. This check is not a representative survey, a sample-size calculation or a guarantee of valid conclusions; research design and recruiting the right audience are separate tasks.
Workers are paid for testing and reporting, not for purchases or favourable opinions. Their feedback can reveal problems, but cannot guarantee more sales or higher search rankings. A small group of paid testers does not replace research with your target audience.

Questions about questionnaire pilots
How is this different from a paid survey?
A pilot checks the questionnaire itself. Workers explain unclear questions, options and technical problems. Their test choices are not responses you should use to estimate demand or describe an audience.
Can workers use fictional answers?
Only for a clearly marked test route or a copy of the form, and only if you describe that scenario in advance. Never add fictional pilot entries to real research data. Tell the worker how test entries will be identified.
How many workers do I need?
Set a manageable pilot size based on the questionnaire's length, routes and budget. A few reports may reveal a difficulty, but do not establish that every question is valid or that the main survey will be representative.
